On Rubbing Elbows
My classmate in statistics, my fishball-and-sweet-corn buddy after stat class, told me about her membership in international sociological associations and societies. She also told me about the upcoming conference in Bali for the Asia-Pacific Sociological Association. I wonder when will I get to attend conferences like that…
Timeliness is Everything
Why is it that a girl gets her period every time she is most stressed out? Today was my final exam in stat. My period couldn’t get any timelier than that.

One time, I used the cover of “Sophie’s World,” my favorite book as my avatar in Yahoo Messenger. A former office mate saw it and chatted with me. He said because of my avatar, he started reading the book. Now that’s something good to feel about! That also prompted me to read the book again, this time in its ebook version =)

A Life Map helps you discover what you want for yourself and your life. Follow the steps below to create your own Life Map.
- Gather magazines and catalogues.
- Go through the magazines and catalogues and pull out images, words and phrases that speak to you or evoke feelings.
- Cut out these images and words.
- Place your words and images on a large board in an way that feels right to you.
- Paste the images on the board.
- Review your Life Map and ask yourself the following questions:
- What have I learned about myself from looking at my Life Map?
- Do I see any patterns?
- Does anything on my Life Map surprise me?
- If I knew that all of the images and this Life Map would come in to my life, would I be OK with that?
- Who do I need to become in order to fulfill the intentions on my Life Map?
- Based on my Life Map, what quality will I commit to developing this year?
7. Find support for changing your life. Share your findings with a friend. You can even create Life Maps together.
