Wings Left Intertwined

You are a bird

Who’ve always wanted to fly

Glide and breeze into the air

Like the rays of the warm sun

You told me this

And I was desperate to

Lend you my helping hand.

But I didn’t have

A hand to lend

Nor help to give.

For what are you doing?

Soaring and racing

With the wind

We can see

And you would not?
