Untitled

I guess it’s when you fall asleep

With my hand in yours

That I find sweetness

In our solitude

In our world,

There is only two.

Every now and then I hear

Echoes of warning

That one day I find myself

Believing your every word

But in the end helpless

With only words to hold onto

I want to sail with your dreams of us

But tides of reality just push me to the shore

I can’t go deep.

Why do I bother myself

When you are here with me?

Holding my hand

As you gently sleep.

Fears are too strong.

I don’t want to wake you up.
