Perfectly Flawed

She works seven days a week

Doesn’t talk to her family

On the weekends

And carries the unnecessary burden

She willingly takes on.

He wanders desperately inside his head

Until he stumbles upon a blackhole

Now he just lies there with too fast a heart rate

Condemned for the fate that he chose

They left him with nothing.

He was another case of unrequited love

Just another saviour complex case

He will wait for three to five years

Until he tells him he’s gotten married

He’s waiting in vain.

Gobbling up painkillers like House

Will not do the trick

For the loneliness we face

Everyday of our lives

The differential diagnosis - human nature.
